Schmidt studied social science and media design at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), now KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He lives in Darmstadt — famous for it's art nouveau, nearby Frankfurt am Main.
In May 2008 Schmidt and Simon Berger founded the small business Berger Schmidt – Praktische Informatik, providing internet and media related services (like content management and web programming) for different kinds of clients, amongst them the Technical University of Darmstadt, the WAN-IFRA - World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, and the ZKM – Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe. The school is pragmatism, the tool is Drupal.
Beside Schmidt is guitarist in the band Li Ark, and occasionally publishs some sounds and recordings in the section Media here on this website.
